The Great Holiday Train Show

Back for its third year, The Great Holiday Train Show welcomes the young and the young at heart into the enchanting world of model trains amidst an intimate, historical setting. Housed in a hidden gem of a residence-turned-museum in downtown Chappaqua, the 19th-century Horace Greeley House has been reimagined into locomotive splendor for the season. 

Charming trains winding through festive villages and miniature landscapes await visitors in each period room. To make this year’s visit extra special, new additions feature magical Harry Potter LEGO scenes of Hogwarts Express, Platform 9¾, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and one spectacular custom-made holiday tree train –over six feet tall with six trains running on six levels. 

Make even more memories and indulge in the holiday spirit by pairing your visit with Chappaqua’s ever-special Holiday Stroll event for a chance to meet Santa, shop locally, see ice sculptures, and more on Dec.10. 

The Great Holiday Train Show is a short five-minute walk from Chappaqua station and a 50-minute ride from Grand Central on Metro-North.
