National 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
Through this Stair Climb, you become part of a communal effort to extend a helping hand to others who need it most. Your efforts will directly support the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and other programs championed by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Our mission and journey revolves around helping the fire service rebuild after catastrophic loss—and supporting our fire hero families for as long as they need us. The day will begin with on-site registration at 9 am, followed by a poignant opening ceremony at 10 am, and then the climb itself. This climb is not a race. It’s a time to honor and remember those who have bravely sacrificed their lives. As we reflect on the devastating loss of the 343 FDNY members on September 11, 2001, we are also reminded that these losses continue today due to World Trade Center illnesses. Gather together and show the colleagues and families of these heroes that we will never forget.
