Make Your Own Maracas

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making maracas! Maracas are an inconspicuous but ever-present musical instrument in Latin American music whose roots stretch far back into the misty, pre-Columbian past. We’ll speak about the history of this instrument and listen to some songs in which maracas are featured prominently! All materials to make your own maracas will be provided.
