Introduction to Shelter Building for Kids
How do people and animals stay protected from wind, rain, and cold? In this hands-on outdoor program, you will work together to learn the basics of shelter building using natural materials. Participants will explore what makes a good shelter, and work together using problem solving skills to build a simple lean-to shelter using sticks and branches. Along the way, talk about how animals create shelters in the wild and why location, structure, and cooperation matter. Recommended age 5+. Advanced registration required.
