BXPets Day

BXPets Day is a FREE fun-filled family event, with games and prizes for the whole family, including our furry, four-legged friends! Programming includes tons of local pet-related businesses, animal rescue organizations, and environmental groups, offering a variety of free or low-cost services, merchandise and information!

The event is aimed at increasing community engagement, fostering a sense of pride and agency over our green spaces, and ensuring that we, as a community, continue to keep our parks beautiful, accessible, and family-friendly. To this end, the NYC DEP will be onsite to educate park users about pet waste management and the NYC DOHMH will also be onsite to offer dog licensing services, and to explain the City’s dog licensing requirements.
