Artmaking Inspired by Wanda Gág at the Whitney

July 14, 11am3pm.

Enter Wanda Gág’s World, where landscapes move rhythmically and inanimate objects hum with life! The artist, illustrator, and children’s book writer wrote and illustrated Millions of Cats, the oldest American picture book still in print, and the exhibition is filled with still lifes, landscapes, and interiors. Artists of all ages can get creative in the Hearst Artspace to build a story world of their own by creating a set of story dice—discover a new tale with every roll!

Featured as a Free Second Sundays program.
