Anniversary of the Battle of Stony Point

Commemorate the 245th anniversary of the Battle of Stony Point with reenactors from the 2nd New York, Spencer’s Regiment, and Lamb’s Artillery. The groups will recreate camp life and discuss the lives of the soldiers who served.  Artillery and musket demonstrations will be held throughout the day. Visit the 18th century military camp where the women who followed the army will be carrying out camp chores.

(Note:  There will be no battle reenactment this year)

2:00 P.M. LECTURE

In an illustrated lecture, learn all about the daring midnight assault on the British garrison at Stony Point in July 1779.  Join Site Historian Mike Sheehan as he describes this incredible battle of the American Revolution.
